The Fourth annual Rio Gas Forum hosted by Petrobras took place on 5 – 7 March 2013 at the Copacabana Palace. Leaders from the Southern Cone energy industry and beyond converged in Rio De Janeiro to discover new opportunities along Brazil’s value chain and forge new partnerships.

Highlights from the Forum included:
- ANP outlined the upcoming licensing rounds in Brazil and answered questions from the potential investors gathered

- Petrobras shared their business plan and outlined future investment plans

- The Ministry of Mines & Energy provided an update on the pipeline expansion plan and how the new gas law is being implemented in practice

- E.on and MPX showcased their groundbreaking Parnaiba project which will pave the way for new companies investing in Brazil’s power sector

- Shell shared how you can deliver E&P project success

- Dorothea Werneck, Secretary of State for Economic Development for Minas Gerais shared how shale gas drilling in her state is breaking new ground in unconventional gas market development in Brazil

- Presentations from OGX, Odebrecht, HRT Oil & Gas, IEA and many more made the Forum THE meeting place for senior officials from companies with existing or future gas and power projects in Brazil
